Holi Celebration
Holi Celebrations in school
Children learnt this week about Holi also known as the Festival of Colours, Festival of Spring, and Festival of Love and that it is one of the most popular and significant festivals in Hinduism.
Holi is considered as one of the most revered and celebrated festivals of India, and it is celebrated in almost every part of the country. It is also sometimes called the “festival of love” as on this day people get to unite together forgetting all resentments and all types of bad feeling towards each other.
The vibrancy of colours is something that brings a lot of positivity to people's lives and Holi being the festival of colours is actually a day worth celebrating.
We are grateful to one of our Brunswick parents for coming in to share the meaning of Holi with our children during an assembly.
